How can I get multiple phone numbers for my account?

Dedicated numbers are priced differently depending on country, area code, functionalities, and use-case. Contact us to get a quote and to learn about our bulk number discounts.

What will happen to my existing users if I upgrade to a different dedicated number?

Existing users will still be messaged from the old number to ensure a consistent user experience. While new users will be messaged from the new number. If you’d like to migrate all users to the new number, just let us know during the upgrade.

What happens if the recipient of a message doesn’t have an iPhone?

If the recipient of one of your messages doesn’t have iMesssage enabled we will automatically fall back to sending the message through SMS at no extra cost.

Can I send two messages from the same number that appear as separate threads?

No. All messages from the same number to the same recipient will appear in a single conversation thread. This is a limitation of the iMessage and SMS protocols.

Can we unify all lines so messages appear to come from a single number?

No. Each line operates independently, and recipients will see the actual sending number. There is no abstraction layer to mask multiple backend lines behind a single number.

How do I add custom fields or variables when creating a contact?

Support for custom fields on the Contacts API is coming soon and will be documented when available.


Call dispositions are included in the disposition field of the call_log webhook payload. Values include connected, not_answered, and voicemail.

Call transcripts are included in the transcript field of the call_log webhook payload when transcription is available for the call.


Is there a dashboard to see latency, error rate, and reliability?

There is no dedicated observability dashboard at this time, but one is coming soon. Sendblue’s overall API error rate is below 1%. For real-time platform status, check the Sendblue status page.

Can reseller clients create child accounts through the API?

Not yet. Reseller account creation via API is planned for a future release.

How do I see which team member sent a message via API?

This is not currently supported. Team member attribution on API-sent messages is under consideration for a future release.

Will messages sync across the API, dashboard, and integrated CRMs simultaneously?

Not currently. Messages sent via the API are not automatically synced to other integrated platforms. Cross-platform message sync is planned for a future release.

Are there n8n integration resources available?

How can I set up a staging or sandbox environment?

Create a free sandbox account at dashboard.sendblue.com/company-signup. This provides a dedicated environment for testing and development without affecting your production account.


Can Sendblue receive messages from iCloud email addresses?

Yes. Sendblue can receive inbound messages from iCloud email addresses (e.g. [email protected]). Note that iCloud email senders cannot be associated with a phone number.

Is it possible to request or receive location data via the iMessage API?

Not yet. Location sharing via iMessage API is coming soon.
